Carefully selected fibres with natural shapes and colours are processed into a beautiful high piled construction. Once layed it is filled with dried silica sand and brown ceramic sand which increases Royal Grass®®' natural appearance. Any joints between rolls of Royal Grass®® will almost be invisibly due to the gluing and finishing processes used by our professional installation team. Royal Grass®® can also be fitted seamlessly to terraces, walls, and even rocks, because it can be cut in any possible shape or form. The final result with Royal Grass®® will be astonishing. Is Royal Grass® ecological?

Royal Grass® is not damaging to the environment - even better, it helps the environment. Royal Grass® does not need any water, pesticides, fertilizing or mowing. In dry and water restricted areas particularly around the Mediterranean coast where many people own holiday homes, Royal Grass® can save tremendous amounts of scarce water that is normally used for watering natural grass. Can Royal Grass® lose its colour?

Is Royal Grass® able to stand up against roots and moles?

Thanks to the very strong backing on which Royal Grass®® is attached, roots have no chance. Roots nor Moles can push through the Royal Grass®.

We have a team of professionals with a thorough training in the Royal Grass® product range and installation methods that will handle your Royal Grass® installation. Does Royal Grass® need any maintenance?

Not very much is the short answer. The special coated quartz sand will compact after a time and we advise a top up of quartz sand once a year. All natural debris, like leaves and seeds need to be removed to prevent weeds from coming up, a blower or rake makes the ideal tools for this. If weeds do come up they are easily removed with a rake as they have taken hold from the surface since Royal Grass® is manufactured on an anti-weed fabric.

Is Royal Grass® the same artificial grass that is used for sports fields?

No. Royal Grass® is especially developed for the consumer market. The grass, surface and the infill sand are especially coordinated for the leisure market's desires and demands. The grass that is used for the sports fields is rougher and somewhat shorter and it does not have the charm of real grass. But of course you can also play on Royal Grass®. Is Royal Grass® suitable for balconies or roof terraces?

Royal Grass® can be installed everywhere. Balconies present a few problems and we have to make sure there is good drainage to avoid flooding. Royal Grass® is layed on foam plates which have excellent draining properties and provide you with extra comfort on top. Is it possible to have a barbecue on Royal Grass®?

Royal Grass® has been tested by TNO, the Dutch test institute, on safety and flammability. Royal Grass® complies with the most severe norms for fire safety and its worth noting that artificial grass is used in the aviation industry next to runways. Many elaborate tests with flammable liquids have been conducted and the results of these tests were satisfying, but just like on carpet, when a hot coal falls on Royal Grass® it will leave a scorch mark but will not set Royal Grass® on fire. The best thing to do is of course to have a barbecue on a paved surface to avoid all risks.

Is it possible to use a blower on Royal Grass®?

A blower can be used without any problems on Royal Grass®. Due to the fact that Royal Grass® is very even, the leaves will be blown away easily by use of a blower. When a leave plunger is used, it is very important to use it carefully to prevent plunging the infill sand.
